Daniel Negreanu: Interesting hand

This is the most commented video of my youtube channel. Most of you say that it's an easy laydown but I disagree. Also the tittle isn't the most appropriate. What do you think? My opinion is that Negreanu lost the minimum here.

WSOP BATTLE OF THE BRACELETS

We are a couple months away from the beginning of the 2014 WSOP.
Let's take a look at the players with more bracelets

Phil Hellmuth with 13 has a pretty good lead over Phil Ivey with 9 but it looks like Ivey could be able to beat Hellmuth in a few years from now.

The main reason is that Phil Ivey is 12 years younger that Hellmuth and in that time it seems likely for him to win at least 4 more bracelets.

Another big  reason is that Ivey is probably the best all around player out there and he is capable of winning in any poker variant while Hellmuth is a NL specialist so it looks like Ivey's chances of winning more bracelets in the future are higher than Hellmuth's.

Even if Hellmuth's style has been criticized by big names of Poker like Daniel Negreanu , he's been very succesful in winning bracelets the past few years (2006,2007,2012x2) so it looks like he might be able to win at least two more bracelets in the future.

So what do you think?  Would Ivey catch Hellmuth? If he does...when?  Is anybody capable of winning as many bracelets as this two? Let's take a quick look

Erik Seidel(8) and Daniel Negreanu(6) look like the only players capable of winning more than 10 bracelets. Negreanu is still young with 39 years old while Seidel is 54.

On the one hand Negreanu won 2 bracelets last year and in my opinion is the second player with more options to catch Hellmuth. On the other hand it's been a while since Seidel's last bracelet (2007) and with his actual age it seems unlikely for him to reach the 15-16 bracelets.

This is just my opinion...What do you think?

Legends of Poker: Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen "The Great Dane" is my second favourite player.

I saw him play for the first time on a resume of a couple hours of the first WPT event ever. He was the chipleader and the way he was playing really shocked me.

I was a begginer in poker and I knew just the basic stuff about the importance of position, the porcentages, the recommended starting hands..

And then Gus appears and starts playing 63, 25, K7... out of position, and then he continued those hands with sick bluffs on the flop, turn and even river until his opponents folded.

And then I thought wow if he plays like that always they are going to trap him sooner or later.... wrong!

When his opponents finally had a hand and called his bets then he showed a monster to win the pot.

And when he was almost beated preflop he was able to catch a magic card and win.

That's why Gus the #2 Legends of Poker spot is for him. He taught me that you have to mix the game sometimes so that your opponents can't read you easily. In that tournament he played crazy, nobody put him on a hand, he scared his opponents and he was lucky!

Also I know that he moved to the US to be a backgammon player, a game that I love to play also.

Here you can watch Gus Hansen in action on that tournament. Sorry for the missing end but you can imagine how it ended :)

Legends of Poker: Sammy Farha

Sam Farha is by far the most entertaining poker player I've seen on TV. My first contact with poker was about 6 or 7 years ago during a summer vacation in France when I played my first poker game with some friends and since then I've been in love with the game.

At that time poker wasn't really famous in Spain so I started watching some american TV shows like Poker After Dark and High Stakes Poker on youtube and met the most famous players (Ivey, Brunson, Negreanu...)

But my favourite one was always Sam Farha. Maybe he wasn't the best hold'em player but his style, image, the way he gambled, his cigar, the way he trash talked the other players really amazed me and if I had to choose one player to imitate at that time it would be him.

That's why my #1 Legends of Poker spot is for him.

You can watch some of his best momments on my youtube channel. www.youtube.com/pokerlegends
